Lawrence Taylor clearly loves life and all that it has to offer.  What we also know is that L.T. loves drugs of all kinds, whether it is the sauce or the rocks, he doesn’t know how to say no.  This passion and fire led him to become one of the fiercest pass rushers in NFL History.

But it has also led him into trouble.

Damn L.T. you clearly look faded in the picture. But, it does look like a happy fade, where you are pleasantly buzzed, but still have no business behind the wheel of a car.

Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) — Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker and former New York Giant Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Hialeah, Florida, after crashing into another motor vehicle and leaving the scene, according to police.

Taylor, 50, struck a car on Expressway 826 near the 103rd Street exit, and drove to the next exit before he pulled over, said Lieutenant James Durden, a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol. Taylor was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage.

Taylor told patrol officers that he was the driver of the car, and said he thought he had hit the guardrail rather than another vehicle. The offense is a misdemeanor because there were no injuries to either driver, Durden said.

Taylor, a 10-time Pro Bowl linebacker played all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Giants. He previously was found guilty of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and had been placed on probation after pleading guilty to tax evasion and for buying crack cocaine from an undercover police officer.

Thomas Melani, an attorney who defended Taylor previously, said he no longer has contact with him. Taylor’s telephone number was not listed in the Hialeah area.

To contact the reporter on this story: Curtis Eichelberger in Washington at ceichelberge@bloomberg.net

Someone really needs to help him, before in an instant….he’s gone.  The man is a known crackhead.  He was awesome, but when the rocks man gets em…he doesn’t let go.

On a different tune, the Police Officers must have been sprung with having L.T. in there.  So much so, they didn’t give him a breath test.  That is when you know you are big time.

Waste of space and I am sure that she didnt write it....

Waste of space and I am sure that she didn't write it....

Who wants to read what she wrote?  Plus, I want to know who bought the coat?  I bet it’s leftover from her spending the Republicans hard earned money out of the war chest.

Sarah Palin book part of conservative boom

By HILLEL ITALIE (AP) – 3 hours ago

NEW YORK — These are boom times for conservative authors.

Michelle Malkin’s “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks and Cronies” spent weeks at No. 1 on The New York Times nonfiction list. Sales have been strong for Dick Morris’ anti-Obama “Catastrophe” and the reissue of “The Five Thousand Year Leap,” by W. Cleon Skousen.

And Sarah Palin may top them all.

In a feat usually reserved for the likes of J.K. Rowling and Dan Brown, Palin’s book was No. 1 on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com just two days after Harper announced it had moved up the release date from the spring to Nov. 17 and that the memoir’s title was “Going Rogue.”

Staying power is what it is all about.  This book was on the NY Times best sellers list.

See? people will buy anything....

See? people will buy anything....

The fact that people are lining up to buy it doesn’t really mean much.  It might mean people are stupid, but we here have been saying that for a long time.

Palin’s 432-page memoir, still No. 1 on Friday, has been given a first printing of 1.5 million copies and booksellers have begun fighting for sales. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. cut the $28.99 list price by more than half, to $13.50, and Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com are offering “Going Rogue” for $15.65, a 45 percent discount.

I haven’t seen J.K. Rowling hawking Harry Potter for a big discount.   That is because people actually think that she can write and they are patiently (and in some cases not so patiently) waiting for the book.

Call me a skeptic, but I dont think that they will be waiting in line like this for Sarah Palins book

Call me a skeptic, but I don't think that they will be waiting in line like this for Sarah Palin's book

I doubt that Sarah can string a couple of sentences without throwing one of her trademark “You knows” in.

nor do I think that they will be dressing up like her...

nor do I think that they will be dressing up like her...

Plus, have you seen them discounting the book BEFORE IT IS EVEN OUT? That just reeks of desperation and trying to stay in the limelight.

Although she resigned abruptly last summer as governor, and the Republican ticket of Sen. John McCain and Palin was decisively beaten in the 2008 election, “Going Rogue” will surely outsell the memoir of her Democratic counterpart, Vice President Joe Biden, and likely approach the million-selling heights of President Barack Obama’s “The Audacity of Hope.”

Yep, just like people bought Billy Beer back in the 70’s.  People like keepsakes, especially if they are memorable.  If nothing else, she is memorable for a lot of things, even if it is not being good.

That beer actually was okay for a cheap beer...

That beer actually was okay for a cheap beer...

Yes, Sarah, I am calling you the equivalent of Billy Beer, without the cheap price or good taste….

“I know a lot of people who are surprised by this,” says Adrian Zackheim, president and publisher of Sentinel, a conservative imprint of Penguin Group (USA). “There was some question as to whether her popularity was still intact after she resigned as governor and some question as to whether the original following was still with her. The answer to these questions is pretty unequivocal.”

“Movement conservatives are voting with their dollars to endorse the values they believe Sarah Palin represents,” says Twelve publisher Jonathan Karp, who has published books by McCain and by a liberal favorite, the late Ted Kennedy, whose “True Compass” came out last month.

“In a similar way, Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin and Mark Levin provide an opportunity for ideologically motivated consumers to see their views validated. It’s the political equivalent of attending a Grateful Dead concert. Pure and simple, it’s market democracy.”

Wow, Jerry must be rolling over in grave.  Really? Sarah is the same as the Grateful Dead?

sd

Tonight, one last band will shake off its cobwebs in an attempt to Barack voters all night long. The Grateful Dead announced plans over the weekend to reunite for one show, and one show only, in support of the candidate. Tickets to the live performance sold out almost instantly, but Deadheads far and wide can watch the performance from the comfort of their dwellings at IClips.net at 7:30p.m. PST. What a long strange trip it's been for Obama since his campaign began back in 2006, but he's kept on truckin', and come tomorrow, the future of his presidential hopes will be determined for the people, by the people.

The Dead(at least the living….if you believe the ACORN scandal, then really the DEAD too) are for Obama

Here is a Dead Show..

These dirty rocked out hippies are not voting for Palin...

These dirty rocked out hippies are not voting for Palin...

and here is a typical Palin fan…

I shudder to think how much that airbrushing cost. Especially since she is a failure....

I shudder to think how much that airbrushing cost. Especially since she won't win anything again....

and her conducting politics….will the book talk in depth about that?  That might be the best part of the book…

I wonder does she even know who she is talking to?

I wonder does she even know who she is talking to?

Karp calls the title “brilliant” and says it “suggests she’ll let it all hang out,” a likely attraction for customers on Amazon, which lists purchasers of Palin’s book as also buying “Glenn Beck’s Common Sense” and Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny.”

Palin herself has said that “Going Rogue” will give her a chance to express herself “unfiltered,” a bold brand for a public figure who has likened herself to a pit bull with lipstick and once alleged that Obama was “palling around with terrorists.” Palin’s collaborator, Lynn Vincent, has her own history of attacking the left. She is the co-author of “Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party.”

“That sounds pretty lively,” says Marji Ross, president of Regnery Publishing, which released Malkin’s book. “Palin is certainly well positioned to take on the bureaucrats and government establishment, but she also may be positioning herself for a run at the (2012) nomination and that might have its own discipline.”

A lot of people have disciples, but do we really want them running the country?

This guy had a lot of disciples and what happened? For those of you not in the know, this is Jim Jones, and no, he doesnt rap

This guy had a lot of disciples and what happened? For those of you not in the know, this is Jim Jones, and no, he doesn't rap

“Palin is going to appeal to anyone interested in American culture right now,” says Harper publisher Jonathan Burnham, who declined to offer specifics on the book, whether content or tone.

“Although she has a very strong conservative following, who are with her through thick and thin, she has this large cultural presence that exerts a great deal of fascination. And what we’re seeing here are two vectors coming together.”

The very existence of a Democratic administration means material for conservatives. In the 1990s, Ann Coulter and Barbara Olson were among those who wrote best-selling attacks against President Bill Clinton. Al Franken, Michael Moore and other liberals were popular authors during the Bush administration. Now, says Ross, as Democrats reign in Washington, “conservatives have been energized.”

“They have really come out of the lethargy they were stuck in last year,” she says.

Burnham declined comment on how or whether Palin’s memoir would be fact-checked. (Publishers traditionally rely on authors to tell their story straight.) Liberals are ready to step in. The Progressive Book Club and Media Matters, a progressive media watchdog group, will soon start a joint project to fact-check upcoming conservative releases. “Going Rogue” is high on the list.

“These books are often riddled with sloppy and demonstrably false claims,” says Media Matters senior fellow Karl Frisch. “We feel we have good reason to keep our eye on Sarah Palin.”

Burnham declined comment on Frisch’s remarks. He said the manuscript, much of it written over the summer, was “extremely strong” and covers everything from her family to Alaska to her vice presidential run.

“It’s Palin, up close and personal,” he says.

I just do not get her or the people that think that she is the one to lead the country.  You have a right to support her, and fortunately, I have a right to make fun of you for doing it.

Don’t people know that it’s wrong to speak ill of the dead?

By Kate Howard, The Tennessean

A property management company has filed a claim against former Titan Steve McNair’s estate for back rent on a West End apartment he began leasing in October.

McNair was the co-signer for a condo on Parthenon Avenue near Centennial Park, with his cousin, Raymond White, as the primary renter. But once the 12-month lease was finalized, the electricity was turned on in the name of a young woman, according to public records from Nashville Electric Service.

Mail and utility bills for the condo had been going to 26-year-old Adrianne Hobbs. Gianikas Property Management has asked McNair’s estate for $1,750 in rent, late fees and pet damages for the condo, which was vacated last month.

Rent was late in June and was never paid in July, according to court filings.

McNair was shot and killed July 4 in a condo off Second Avenue. Police have ruled that McNair was murdered by 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, who then killed herself. The two had been dating, and police said Kazemi was distraught over catching McNair, who was married, with another woman.

Side piece Sahel Kazemi, who murdered McNair and took her own life...obviously during happier times...

Side piece Sahel Kazemi, who murdered McNair and took her own life...obviously during happier times...

Steve, Steve, Steve…if other people learn from this horrible tragedy, then while we would have lost a great leader (and not so great husband) but gained something from his death.  DON’T BUY YOUR SIDE PIECES ANYTHING!  This is where it started (that and keeping it in his pants) to go sideways for him.  had he just been clear that this was some late-night smash time, then she would not have gotten so clingy.  It is a lot easier to separate from that, then it is to make a commitment to someone by buying them things…

She told friends she had seen another woman leave the condo off Second Avenue and followed her home. That woman was not Hobbs, Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said.

“The person who I am aware of, who believes that she was followed by (Kazemi’s) Escalade, is a different individual and lives elsewhere,” Aaron said.

This sounds like it could have gotten worse.  If Sahel “Shooter” Kazemi KNEW OF this other person, I am glad that she didn’t shoot her up too.  Suicide after killing someone else is such the cowards way out…

A former employee at the property management company says McNair had been coming to the office each month and paying the $1,000-a-month rent personally for the Parthenon Avenue residence.

The electricity in Hobbs’ name was disconnected Aug. 7, according to records from the Nashville Electric Service. It is unclear how she knew McNair.

Before we go jumping to conclusions, what if the woman was the side piece of the cousin (or even better yet, what if she was the girlfriend?)  yeah, she would have come forward, but maybe all the notoriety scared her off.  Now, they have your name too…

“As far as we knew, McNair gave (White) the keys, and we thought (White) moved in,” said Stephanie Burch-McMahan, who managed the apartments until earlier this year. “It wasn’t until a couple months later, we discovered there’s no male person living in the apartment.”

Phone numbers for White have been disconnected, and he could not be reached for comment. A call to his attorney was not returned Tuesday.

‘We let it go’

Someone saw a woman walking a puppy in the pet-free condo, and the manager said she sent a letter to White. There appeared to be only women’s items in the apartment, Burch-McMahan said, and other residents of the apartment complex told management they’d seen only McNair and a blonde woman coming and going.

“If there had not been for (McNair’s) celebrity status, we would have called and said, ‘Who is this person living here?’ ” she said. “We knew if we confronted him about it, it would create a lot of awkwardness, so we let it go.”

That is what being famous gets you…a lot less questions.  Steve and others need to know that handling your business out in the open will get you caught up, even if some people are willing to hide it.  All these people thought that they were bulletproof….

Burch-McMahan, a fan of McNair, said she was at first disheartened at the circumstances of McNair’s death, but she considers him a kind and generous person and doesn’t want to judge him now.

“Maybe losing an icon like Steve means we are being asked to re-evaluate what we will accept and expect from relationships, and be conscious of the pain and destructiveness that infidelity causes,” she said.

Sound a lot like Joey, doesn’t it?

The smile seems forced, but i bet he loves his job!

Hobbs could not be reached Tuesday. A reporter spoke with her in July at the West End condo, but she said she didn’t know McNair and she had no comment.

Her friend Valerie Skelton identified herself as White’s girlfriend and said she herself lived in the condo. She said she had moved in a few months before McNair’s death. Skelton also did not return a phone call or e-mail Tuesday.

Valerie on the left, Adrienne on the right

Valerie on the left, Adrienne on the right

Steve, please tell me (through a dream or however the dead contact the living) that you were not smashing either of these two women.  I am hoping that it really was your cousin, his girl and her friend…

Gary Rubenstein, the attorney representing Gianikas Property Management, said mail had been coming in Hobbs’ name, and Skelton applied to be added to the lease nine days after McNair’s death. Rubenstein wasn’t sure who was living there.

Because White was the primary lessee, the company intends to pursue payment from him. But they still filed a claim against McNair’s estate because there is only a limited amount of time to do so, Rubenstein said.

Sharks smell blood in the water.  You are going after the dead for your money?  Let the man rest.

He said he has been in touch with White’s attorney and any payment they get from White will be deducted from their claim against McNair.

Rose Palermo, who represents Mechelle McNair in the probate case, said she has no information about the claim and can’t comment. Steve McNair did not leave a will.

American Express also has filed a claim against his estate for $44,000, and Magee General Hospital in Mississippi has filed for about $287.

Crime case officially isn’t closed

Though Metro investigators ruled the deaths of McNair and Kazemi a murder-suicide on July 8, they have not officially closed the case or made the case file public. It’s unlikely they will do so until the conclusion of the federal case against the man who sold Kazemi the gun, Aaron said.

Adrian Gilliam Jr. has been charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun after the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms traced the gun that killed the pair back to him. He told Metro police he sold Kazemi the gun for $100.

“The Metro Police Department’s investigation is parallel with the investigation by the federal authorities,” Aaron said. “In fact our officers have been very much involved in the federal case as well as the murder-suicide investigation. As far as the very thick case file, I suspect that is going to be not made public until the federal matter is resolved.”

I still feel sorry for the poor sap who thought he was doing some woman a favor by getting here a gun for protection and not he is caught up too…

Vince,

All people want to hear about is your failures.  I want to big up you for your actions…It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day matters in your own personal life.  Vince, your personal life has been in the news too much.

Lord knows you have problems.  Remember when people thought that you were suicidal?

Dont let the stress of life and work get to you....

Don't let the stress of life and work get to you....

It was just work….and you were eating wings.  Just because you don’t have your phone, people got spooked.  This became another story that people fed on.  You might even state that it is the curse of this…

At least you got paid for this.....

At least you got paid for this.....I have it for the 360 too...

But, like any normal black man, you persevered. You are still getting paid and the racist formerly known as Kerry Collins will either say something that we get him mangled, or will just get old.  You will be a starting QB in the league again, if not for the Titans, then another team.

People are not talking about Steve McNair anymore.  (except us) We use this tragic loss of life to get advice to others, including President Obama. They should talk about him more….he did a ton to help the communities that where he lived.  Once the story died and people moved on, there was still his family to think about.  They lost a father and a provider.

Thursday, September 17, 2009 Young surprises McNair’s sons

ESPN.com news services For one day at least, Vince Young stepped up to try to fill the void for the late Steve McNair’s two young sons, the Tennessean reported Thursday. Young surprised 11-year-old Trenton and 5-year-old Tyler on Wednesday by showing up at their house and taking them to their school’s “Dear Dads Breakfast” at a local restaurant.

Arenas Those are my boys. I wouldn’t say it was to pay anyone back; it was just out of love. Steve would do it for me. He pretty much did it for me when I was growing up. I have a history with the boys and I want to do anything I can. I am their big brother. ” – Vince Young

“Those are my boys,” Young told the Tennessean. “I wouldn’t say it was to pay anyone back; it was just out of love. Steve would do it for me. He pretty much did it for me when I was growing up. I have a history with the boys and I want to do anything I can. I am their big brother.” Julie Dilworth, admissions director at St. Paul Christian Academy, lauded Young’s actions. “It was a great, great gesture,” Dilworth told the Tennessean. “All the kids had been talking about the dads’ breakfast and [Trenton and Tyler] were wondering what was going to happen with them. “They were thrilled … the boys came to school with huge smiles on their faces.” Young had a close relationship with Steve McNair, even before the latter was drafted by the Titans four years ago. He attended McNair’s football camps when he was young. McNair was shot and killed July 4. Besides being there for McNair’s sons, Young gave other kids at the school jerseys and autographs. “It was a surprise, and just to see the excitement on their faces, it’s a great feeling,” Young told the Tennessean. “We had a good time eating pancakes. I had an omelet. “Overall they are doing cool, doing good. Just talking to their mom, I think they are going to be all right. I am always going to be here for them, always.” McNair also had two older teenage sons.

I see you Vince and I know it was out of love. The same love he showed you coming into the league.

Just like black actors, black QB’s have to stick together. Who will be the one to reach out to Nate Davis?

Toungue in, you are not Jordan...

Tongue in, you are not Jordan...

Yes, WE CAN....call you a jackass....

Yes, WE CAN....call you a jackass....

We feel you President Obama, but you have to keep that black side bottled up.  Now, we are the ones that can go all ghetto, but you have to keep it cool…

When it comes to Kanye West, it seems that President Obama is thinking what the rest of the country is thinking.

The President called the rapper “a jackass” in an off-the-record comment during a CNBC interview yesterday, but the comment became public when it was tweeted by ABC’s Terry Moran on Twitter, Politico.com reported Monday night.

An ABC statement explains: “ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview.”

Terry Moran… do you want to keep your credentials to report on the White House?  You can’t try to clown the president like that….

Look at the surprise on her face....

Look at the surprise on her face....

Meanwhile, West himself admitted to Jay Leno what Americans -and Obama – had already figured out: Kanye screwed up big-time.

And maybe he needs to figure out why.

Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, the rapper jumped on stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech and declared her award should have gone to Beyoncé Knowles.

After fielding a 24-hour firestorm of criticism and apologizing on his blog, West told Leno last night, “It was rude, period….I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt.”

West, who has had similar outbursts at previous awards shows, said, “I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.

I feel for you on the loss of your mom.  It caused me to take time off from school and do some different things.  But, under no circumstances should you forget who you are…

You can try to explain, but there really is no explanation....

You can try to explain, but there really is no explanation....

“If there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like [to],” he said.

Swift, who was invited onstage later at the VMAs by Beyoncé to finish her interrupted comments, gets a chance to respond this morning, when she appears on ABC’s “The View.”

Kayne, you can help her with some beats and a transformation into R&B, since as a country “star” (I use that term very loosely) I am not going to hear you.  In fact, I only know who you are, due to this…

West’s discomfort was a gift from ratings heaven to Leno, who was kicking off his new 10 p.m. show last night.

He wound up with the country’s hottest celebrity story landing in his grateful lap.

West had been previously scheduled on the show as a performer only, with Jay-Z and Rihanna. Leno told the audience that because of what had happened the previous night, “Kanye wanted to talk.”

Leno asked West when he knew what he did was wrong.

“As soon as I gave the mike back to her and she didn’t keep going,” West said.

Still, after Leno asked him how his deceased mother would have reacted to his actions, West was silent for so long that Leno came back with a second question to coax an answer.

Jay didn’t have to come back with the mom comment.  The dude is hurting about the loss of his mom and that can explain his wild behavior.  The alcohol is the other reason that you felt the need to jump on stage like a fool.

D.A. says no charges against football player in incident with Tila Tequila

        September 11, 2009 |  3:59 pm

No charges will be filed against San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman for an incident last weekend involving model-singer-reality-TV-star Tila Nguyen, Dist. Atty. Bonnie Dumanis announced this afternoon.

In a statement, Dumanis said, “Our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed. This case is now closed. No further comment will be made.”

Nguyen, also known as Tila Tequila, had signed a citizen’s arrest form alleging that she was choked and restrained by Merriman at his home in Poway early Sunday. Merriman, 25, was arrested and booked by sheriff’s deputies.

Nguyen, 27, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Sheriff’s deputies said that Nguyen appeared to have been drinking heavily and that no marks or bruises were apparent.

  • Damn girl, your lies are just apparent.  What about the comments that you made about Merriman abusing you know?  Keep your lawyer…you might need him for the defamation suit that Merriman should file against you.  The harms are already documented on your Tweeter account.  Just because you erased it, doesn’t mean that it is gone.
  • I bet you did that to yourself. But, you are such a bad actor, you couldnt get the DA to bite...

I bet you did that to yourself. But, you are such a bad actor, you couldn't get the DA to bite...

  • Merriman, in a statement, had said he was trying to restrain Nguyen from leaving his home while drunk. Deputies interviewed other people who were at the home. The group had been partying at a nightclub in downtown San Diego that is popular with athletes.

Merriman is set to play in Monday night’s game against the Oakland Raiders. Nguyen has returned to her home in Los Angeles. Initially she put a message on her Twitter account indicating that she does not drink. Later she withdrew that tweet.

So the emergency helpers said you were drunk, the owner of the club said you were drunk and Shawne said you were drunk.  You had the nerve to tweet that you do not drink? DO you think that we are that dumb?  Obviously you did.

ESPN.com also calls it :lights out” on the charges…

    Case against Merriman is closed

    Associated Press

SAN DIEGO — District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis on Friday dismissed reality TV star Tila Tequila’s accusations that San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman choked her and threw her to the ground early Sunday while she was trying to leave his suburban home.

Merriman was arrested after Tequila signed a citizen’s arrest warrant accusing Merriman of battery and false imprisonment. Both are felonies.

Dumanis decided not to charge Merriman after her office spent three days reviewing reports from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

“After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009 incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed,” Dumanis said in a statement. “This case is now closed. No further comment will be made.”

Dumanis’ statement was released moments after the Chargers concluded practice. Informed by reporters that he wouldn’t be charged, Merriman said he couldn’t comment until after he’d spoken with his lawyers.

The Chargers are preparing for their season opener Monday night at Oakland. It will be Merriman’s first game back since having knee surgery after the 2008 season opener.

Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is best known for “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila,” which ran for two seasons on MTV. The bisexual dating show featured men and women vying for Tequila’s affections. She has also modeled for Playboy and other men’s magazines.

Merriman said he was trying to keep Tequila from leaving his home because she appeared to be intoxicated and denied harming her.

Tequila’s attorney, Alan Gutman, called Merriman’s explanation “spin” and predicted it would be discredited, saying the 6-foot-4, 265-pound linebacker “brutally” assaulted his client.

Gutman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

What do you think that he would have to say?  I was lying to you out there in order to try and get my client a favorable outcome.  It didn’t work, but I knew it wasn’t. I bet that this case outcome will not go here…

    How did the discrediting go?

Tila Tequila, the reality TV star who accused Shawne Merriman of domestic violence last weekend, said via her Twitter feed that she will meet with the San Diego County district attorney’s office on Friday.

Apparently, that is news to the district attorney. Paul Levikow, communications director for the San Diego County DA’s office, told ESPN on Thursday afternoon that there is no meeting scheduled with Tequila.

The Web site TMZ.com reported that the meeting was actually taking place Thursday afternoon. Levikow denied that.

Earlier Thursday, some of the tweets were deleted from Tequila’s page, including one saying she would meet with the district attorney.

To make matters worse, TMZ.com is lying for you. But, that is to be expected, since they are whoring you out for publicity (just like I am…)

Tila Tequila Meets with the District Attorney

Posted Sep 10th 2009 3:01PM by TMZ Staff

Tila TequilaWe’ve learned Tila Tequila is currently meeting with investigators for the San Diego District Attorney to discuss the alleged altercation she had with San Diego Charger Shawne Merriman.

The case was handed over to the D.A. yesterday by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. Tila claims Shawne “choked and physically restrained” her as she was attempting to leave his home early Sunday morning.

Shawne is telling a different story: Tila was drunk and he was simply trying to “encourage her to stay until safe transportation could be provided.”

The D.A. will ultimately decide if charges will be filed against Shawne.

I am sure that they will, and I am feeling pretty confident that they are not going to file anything.  How do you feel TMZ, that the DA knew about YOUR story and had their director of communication straight deny it?

Those that fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it…

because it will make you look like a fool…

First, we blogged (jokingly) about Shawne Merriman and the fact that his name is “Lights Out” in regards to the initial reports that Tila Tequila had filed an assault charge against him. Upon further review of the evidence, we decided that she was full of….(you can add your own thoughts here)

We already blogged about how her twitter feed has contradicted some of her claims that she is making in the media. But, it goes beyond this.  (It’s deeper than snacks, I mean rap.

If Tila Nguyen was really hurt or wanted to make sure that she was able to prosecute Shawne Merriman for abuse, she would just shut the hell up.

Tequila to meet with district attorney

Wednesday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department turned over its reports to the DA’s office. The DA will review them to decide if charges should be filed. Merriman, the San Diego Chargers‘ Pro Bowl linebacker, was arrested early Sunday after Tequila accused him of choking and throwing her to the ground while she was trying to leave his suburban San Diego home. Tequila signed a citizen’s arrest warrant accusing Merriman of battery and false imprisonment. Both are felonies. Tequila was hospitalized briefly and filed a citizen’s complaint against Merriman. No charges have been filed. Merriman contends he was protecting Tequila, who he says was drinking and intended to drive home. “At the time, I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided,” he said in a statement. Merriman also said in a statement that he wants to clear “his name” and “put this behind me so I can continue to focus on a successful season for the San Diego Chargers.”

Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, has denied Merriman’s claims that she was drunk at the time of the incident. San Diego County spokesman Paul Levikow said the DA’s office can reject the accusations, or can refer them to the San Diego City Attorney’s Office for consideration as misdemeanors. The tweet from Tequila’s account that said she would meet with the district attorney, which is verified by Twitter but is not guaranteed to have been written by her, was part of a string of tweets Thursday morning. She started by writing “I will never be a VICTIM of anything. So when someone lays a hand on me then lies. Its on.” She followed that up with more than 30 updates in the next hour, including accusing Merriman of lying in his statements to the media about her. “Damage control. Blame Tila. Make her look bad. Send it out to the media so they don’t [sic] believe her! Quick! Cover it up!,” she wrote, according to the Twitter feed. Tequila’s attorney, Alan Gutman, said earlier this week that Merriman is making personal attacks against Nguyen to spin coverage from his “illegal and indefensible actions.” “It is never justifiable to brutally assault, choke, strike and imprison a woman,” Gutman said in a statement Tuesday night. “Once the truth is fully revealed, Mr. Merriman’s fantastic story of how he was trying to keep Ms. Tequila safe will be completely discredited. No one, especially a woman, should ever have to endure what Mr. Merriman did to Tila Tequila.” Merriman and Tequila have exchanged charges and countercharges on their Twitter accounts. Information from The Associated Press is included in this report.

Now, if you really needed to advertise the fact that you are simply MEETING the DA, then you reek of desperation.  I bet that the DA doesn’t file charges in this case.  If the paramedics found no bruising and she had to file/make a citizens arrest report to get action on her claim, then I am not holding my breath that the DA is going to think that moving on this case is a good use of his/her/office time.

I read a Salon article and the author’s reasons began to synthesize all my reasons in three statements.

One: your Twitter is not interesting or funny, and you are no better than people who tweet about their sandwiches.

Two: I have never read a good or funny Twitter from a celebrity, even if the celebrity is a person I otherwise enjoy.

Three: whatever utility Twitter might have as a small-scale personal diary or communication cloud is negated by Twitter’s tendency to clog up with @ replies and other nonsense.

Why not? Twitter needs fixing....160 words to say nothing? Its still too long to read or care about.

Why not? Twitter needs fixing....160 words to say nothing? It's still too long to read or care about.

I am not really even going to get into the fact that people actually follow celebs on Twitter and in the case of Perez Hilton, even called the cops for him.  That in itself is a bigger problem.

    You got mopped up....HAHAHAHAHA!

This is what you would call a Life Lesson

This is what you would call a "Life Lesson"

If you could tweet that dude from the Black Eyed Peas mopped you up, you could call the police for yourself.  Also, you deserve this for calling their manager a “fucking faggot”…. I was going to soften it up, but those are his words, not mine.  SO, to get things in order, you called dude out his name, then he mops you up, and you got back to the room sniveling and tweet about the beatdown?  That is some pure coward shit right there….

Twitter has been known to cause cancer and stupidity

Back to Ms. Nguyen and Mr. Merriman. If he was smart, he would not engage in the Twitter warfare that is currently happening.  This can not end well for the person doing the most talking, since their words can and will be used against them in a court of law.

You can make the same argument here about Facebook

While that is the shit that got me mad, I am also laughing at them having their open snit on the internet.  That is so childish, I have to laugh.  Working at a school, I don’t even see pettiness like that, and I work with tweens and teens.

We here at Too Old always say, “If you have no talent, just take it off…”  Tila Nguyen has no talent, but a breast job and reality TV can make you a star.  We know that Shawne Merriman and her hooked up, but I think after this little escapade, that ride is over.  Not being one to rest on her fifteen minutes of fame, she has already hooked up a new gig…

I am not surprised....yes I am actually, What took so long?

Tila Tequila Escapes to ‘Girls Gone Wild Island’

    Tue Sep 8, 2009 4:57pm EDT
While you may think that I just created this due to all the recent press she has gotten, I didn’t…this is real…
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ — The craziness that comes with being  America’s most popular party girl drove TV reality star Tila Tequila to seek a few days of peace by herself on “Girls Gone Wild Island” recently.  She shared her visit in jaw-dropping photos and a candid interview in the new October Issue of Girls Gone Wild Magazine, on stands today.

Tila made headlines last week when she called San Diego police to report that  she had allegedly been choked and physically restrained by San Diego Chargers  linebacker Shawne Merriman. Merriman was taken into custody by Sheriff’s  Deputies at the time.

“My life is so hectic,” Tequila tells the magazine.  She saw “Girls Gone Wild  Island” as “an escape, a place where I could be by myself, have some peace and quiet.”

“Girls Gone Wild Island” is a sprawling tropical paradise and favorite getaway spot for A-List celebrities.

So, I guess there is a new defintion of A-List that I dont know? This must make kathy Griffin A++++++++list star compared to her

In her revealing interview, Tila takes readers through her day-to-day life on the island — riding jet skis, lounging in the sun and drinking Margaritas, in nothing but a bikini and stiletto heels (or less). “I was a giddy little girl in a candy store,” Tila says of her luxury vacation.  Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis says he was happy to provide Tila with a chance to take a break from the fast lane.  “Tila is an amazing girl and a good friend,” says Francis. “She is more than welcome on the island anytime.”
Now, how is she going to say this above, while tweeting something very different?  That is the beauty of the internet, it’s a semi-permanent record of things you say and do….

In addition to Tila, Girls Gone Wild Magazine continues to introduce readers  to the hottest real college girls in America. There are mind-blowing spreads  of a feisty redhead named Dani, and Amia, a petite brunette who enjoys  handcuffs. As always, the articles — including a debate over the merits of
fake vs. real breasts, bad sex advice from a degenerate uncle and an  illustrated exploration of pubic hair styles — are fresh, edgy and laugh out  loud funny. Girls Gone Wild Magazine has the hottest young writers — and  hottest young girls — on any newsstand.

Girls Gone Wild Magazine is a non-nude men’s lifestyle publication available  monthly at over 15,000 newsstands and retail outlets in America and Canada.   Each issue is packaged with a free Girls Gone Wild DVD and carries a cover  price of $9.99.

Joe, I know you gotta get your hustle on, but her?  You couldn’t do any better?  That is when you know times are hard….
Tila, I think that you are smart not to say anything else, and to remove your twitter feed, since I would definitely use all of it in court against you.  Shawne, if he were smart, when all this is over, he files a defamation of character suit dealing with these false allegations, especially since you are a free agent next year.  news like she is spouting is not good for your next contract.  This is one bi-polar woman that I would leave alone…
