Charlie Weis, you ARE the weakest link…GOODBYE! Notre Dame finally fires him and puts him out of his misery
November 30, 2009

Charlie Weis? Your limo off campus awaits....
What the heck were you waiting for? Anyone who could put two and two together knew he was fired. The “don’t worry about recruiting on the West Coast” was a big hint after the Stanford game… ESPN puts the final nail into the coffin…
Saying its expectations on the field have not been met, Notre Dame fired coach Charlie Weis on Monday after a string of disappointing seasons that was capped by an agonizing four-game losing streak.
A brash offensive coordinator with the NFL champion New England Patriots when he was hired five years ago, Weis excited the Irish faithful with back-to-back appearances in BCS bowl games in his first two seasons.

That clearly ISNT a BCS Championship ring, since ND didn't win one. BTW Who is George?
Let’s really look at what he did. He was living off the back of Ty Willingham, and he got blasted by Ohio State 34-20. That is what he did in the first year. They were so impressed with that 9-3 record, that midway through the season, they gave him a ten (yes that is right, TEN) year extension on his contract. That is how desperate that they became to get relevant again in college football. Pat Forde makes another point about the raw deal that Willingham got indirectly…
But as undistinguished as Davie and Willingham were, the Weis era has become a new low. When Willingham’s best recruits checked out after 2006, the program crashed.Weis’ record over the past three seasons: 16-21. Of those 16 victories, three came against opponents that finished the season with a winning record (Navy last year, Nevada and Boston College this year). There were home losses to Navy (twice), Syracuse and Connecticut. There were zero signature victories.
In fact, the only signature characteristic of the past three Weis teams has been folding in the face of adversity. One loss has precipitated numerous losses.
The Fighting Irish began 2007 by losing five straight. In 2008, they lost four of their last five regular-season games. This year, they finished Weis’ tenure by losing their last four.
And after the final defeat, at Stanford on Saturday night, Weis disappeared without facing the media.
One might ask why didn’t they do that for Tye, since during his first year, they were 10-2 and started 8-0…Damn, Weis got on a roll when he lost it.
Since then, one of the nation’s most storied football programs has gone 16-21.
Swarbick says he recommended to the university president Sunday night that Weis be let go with six years left on his contract.
“We have great expectations for our football program, and we have not been able to meet those expectations,” Notre Dame athletics director Jack Swarbrick said in a statement announcing Weis “will not be retained.”
“As an alumnus, Charlie understands those goals and expectations better than most, and he’s as disappointed as anyone that we have not achieved the desired results,” Swarbrick said.

The last time ND was any good...
Just what are they storied for? They WERE good, a long time ago. In fact, they were the gold standard for college football. But, just like slavery and corporal punishment, those days have come and gone. They have not been part of the landscape as a threat in 20 years, since Lou Holtz was patrolling the sidelines. Does that mean that ARMY, which used to be the goods still has the right to call themselves a football powerhouse? No. Maybe, they need to understand that their expectations are not realistic.
Following a 6-2 start, the losing streak began and as it progressed Weis’ future was in doubt.
Weis finishes 35-27 in South Bend. His .565 winning percentage is worse than the .583 marks that got his two predecessors, Tyrone Willingham and Bob Davie, fired.
Among the people considered possible candidates to replace Weis are Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly, TCU coach Gary Patterson and Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh. Stoops, though, said Monday he fully intends to be at Oklahoma “hopefully for a good while.”
Weis has told people in South Bend that he’s already heard from roughly six NFL teams about becoming their offensive coordinator next season, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
First, Charlie, as a piece of unsolicited advice, shore up your leaks. Whoever you told that makes you look like a grade A ass. Why are you talking about the NFL, when you just got fired? Is your ego that wound up that you have to show your self worth by pointing out that you have other opportunities?
Second, the NFL is where you should have been and stayed. You do not have the same limitations that you do in college. They have nothing else BUT football as a pro. They might practice for about 4 hours with weightlifting, then the rest of the day is their own. Good players will go home and watch tape and work out, while bad players won’t. But, they also get cut.
Notre Dame players have scheduled a mid-afternoon players meeting that will include a vote on whether they want to play in a bowl game after a 6-6 season. Swarbrick has said he will consider the players’ wishes in deciding on a bowl trip.
Rob Ianello, Notre Dame’s assistant head coach/offense, wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, will assume responsibility for football operations until a new coach is hired, Swarbrick said. Ianello has spent the past five seasons on Notre Dame’s staff.
I hope the players say no. (Even though as a player, I would go, just for the free swag at the bowl games and a free trip somewhere that is not Indiana) Here is what they got a few years ago in the Hawaii Bowl
HAWAIIHawaii-Notre Dame, Dec. 24 in Honolulu
The gear:
Kicker iKick500 iPod/iPhone Dock
Silk tie
Oakley sunglasses
Kahala aloha shirt
Beach chair
Beach towel
T-shirt
Calendar
Hat
Visor
Backpack
Luggage tags
The verdict: The iPod dock looks like something out of the Batcave. The Hawaii bowl tie and Aloha shirt screams “re-gifting” for Father’s Day. And those beach chairs and towels sure will come in handy in South Bend.
As for Coach Ianello, what’s another title in the grand scheme of things? I am surprised that you are not washing the unis as well.

During happier times....
Whatever the case may be, the best thing that he did is to not say a freaking word to anybody, especially the cops. What Miranda versus Arizona has taught is that you have the right to remain silent and that anything you say can be used against you in a court of law.

too bad it doesn't work with parents too
I am going to put some quotes together from the the Times Online that illustrate my point.
Captain Mark Welch, chief of public affairs for Florida Highway Patrol, told The Times today: “In Florida, you are not compelled to speak to police officers concerning traffic crashes. There is a requirement to furnish your driver’s license, insurance and vehicle registration, and that he has done. He has complied with what the state requires him to do.”
At that point, you don’t have to say anything else. The fact that people want to know more is irrelevant to Tiger and his handlers. When you open your mouth, things can be used against you and can lead you into more trouble. Had Plaxico kept his trap shut, then he wouldn’t be uptown served hard time right now. But, the fact that it’s Tiger means that people want to know and think that they have a right to know. Now, the police are trying to get in his business. The simple fact that he ISN’T speaking to them is causing them to get nosy. It is just a Catch-22.

But that is why it pays to say as little as possible. The more you say, the easier it is to pin you down and hold you to your words or statements
State troopers probing Tiger Woods’ mysterious car crash were today said to be applying for a search warrant allowing them to seize his hospital records.
Florida Highway Patrol wants to establish whether the facial injuries for which Mr Woods was treated at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida, last Friday were consistent with his wife’s version of events, or whether they may have been inflicted during a domestic incident.
That the police are trying to go backdoor to get his medical record should worry some people out there, as it worries me. Why is this some time delay that you didn’t work on at the scene? Aren’t officers trained to notice those things? Simply put, this was a one car accident. The only thing that we need to know is that he hit a tree and a fire hydrant. The fact that he is not saying more is that there is nothing more.
The one thing to remember is that the main sources for this celebrity drama is TMZ.com and the National Enquirer. While they occasionally get one right, they get a lot more wrong….
Shaquille O’Neal shows the spirit of Thanksgiving by paying for the funeral of Shaniya Davis
November 26, 2009

This dude does not have to worry about anything....
Having everything you want and not having to want for anything must be nice. I know its the reason that I continue in the rat race, even though I would rather be at home on the couch. Sometimes, you see stories on the news and you feel motivated to help, or it touches you that something happened. Hey, it is part of the reason why we blog.
When you know the story is truly horrific, can be just the tonic for action. each person should try to do what they can. You don’t have to be a big baller to help, although if you are, you should do more. Shaq would qualify as a big baller. A lot of the things that Shaq or other celebrities/athletes do don’t get the press. We want the salacious details, the embarrassing gaffes that they make. For some, it makes them feel better about their own miserable life when they see someone else down in the dumps. This time, we want to celebrate people doing good, especially on Thanksgiving. Shaq showed how to be thankful for what you have…

Whip them into shape Shaq! Shaq clearly has a soft soft for kids, since he is just an oversized one himself
Shaq pays for N.C. girl’s funeral
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Basketball star Shaquille O’Neal paid for the funeral of a 5-year-old North Carolina girl after being moved by national news coverage of the case of Shaniya Davis, who police say was kidnapped and killed.

Shaniya and her father, Bradley Lockhart. How did this guy get involved with a crackhead mother? My heart goes out to him.
The Cleveland Cavaliers player was touched by the stories he saw and got in touch with the family to see what he could do to help, a spokeswoman for O’Neal said Thursday. Read the rest of this entry »
Andrew King, former coach of the San Jose Aquatics is a reason that castration should be brought back….
November 21, 2009
While we joke about badbadteacher.com, the things that are happening there are no joke. Okay, some of it is, but that is due to the stupidity of some people. For the most part, there are clear cases of abuse that are happening here. I go to the site to laugh at the misfortunes of others. You can occasionally make the argument of the ages are relatively close, most the time it is an easy eye test to say, Damn, that’s sick. Here is one of those stories.
Hopefully, you will have to change your name to Andrea, because they wear you out it prison
A former swim coach who pleaded no contest to felony child molestation impregnated one of his victims when she was 14 years old and was investigated in two other areas before he finally was charged in San Jose this spring.
The girl, who lived in the East Bay, had an abortion and never told anyone until she was interviewed by police earlier this year as part of the case here, according to court documents released Thursday.
I don’t need to read or hear anymore of the story to know that under the prison is too good for this guy. I don’t think that prison should be about torture, but that would be okay if it happened to him. He clearly has a problem, in that he is a pedophile, but that is too bad and he should have gotten himself some help.
Andrew King, 61, former head coach at San Jose Aquatics, who often worked with elite swimmers hoping to make the Olympics, remains in jail in lieu of $3 million bail. He awaits sentencing on charges that could keep him in prison for the rest of his life.
Jamie Harley, King’s attorney, did not return a phone call Thursday. She previously has declined to discuss the case. King is next due in court Dec. 18.
Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Ray Mendoza is seeking the maximum term for King — 42 years — and argues in court documents submitted Thursday that King has demonstrated “a clear pattern of pedophile behavior” during the 31 years he molested the girls he coached. The pattern was so clear and so consistent that King should not be a candidate for probation, Mendoza said in pre-sentencing documents.
“He got to be free his whole adult life,” Mendoza said outside the courtroom Thursday. “He should have been held accountable a long time ago.”
The documents, some of which were released earlier, detail King’s long history of child molestation and his preference for girls 10 to 17 years old. He gave them gifts, dinners and rides; he told victims they were special, asking most of them to marry him. And while he was in a position of authority and trust, he threatened to end their swimming careers if they told anyone.

That seems about right. Keep him healthy, so he can live long enough to understand the hell his victims went through.
“Unfortunately, King fell through the cracks in the system: Two law enforcement investigations and suspicious conduct observed by swim coaches, parents or boards who did not adequately supervise the defendant,” Mendoza wrote in the documents.
“The red flags should have gone up when King was only massaging girls behind closed doors,” Mendoza said, “traveling alone with girls to away meets, taking girls to dinner, sailing on his boat and buying them gifts. The warning signs were everywhere.”
Before one of his swimmers at San Jose Aquatics contacted police this spring, prompting his arrest, King had been investigated twice before on child molestation allegations.
Both times, in Contra Costa County, and in Oak Harbor, Wash., he was not charged, never even questioned.
In 1988, a 17-year-old girl reported to a counselor at Monte Vista High School in Danville that she had had sexual intercourse with King several years before. The counselor contacted the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department, which scheduled an interview with the girl, her counselor and an investigator.
The girl “said she just recently realized how wrong it was of (King) to take advantage of her, and she was having an extremely hard time dealing with it,” according to a 1988 Sheriff’s Department report.
According to the report, the abuse started when King and the girl went to dinner “and made out.” The next day, King called her at home and said, “Now we’ll make love.” The girl rode her bike to the swim coach’s apartment “behind the Elegant Bib. He provided her with a ’sponge’ for birth control that he already had purchased.”
Although the situation with King prompted her to give up swimming, the girl told the investigator she really missed the sport but “can never go back.”
The girl said she did not want her parents to know. Neither did she want to prosecute or have King contacted. The investigator complied and suspended the case.
A spokesman for the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department did not return a call seeking comment about that case.
The woman who investigated the case has retired and could not be reached for comment.
I don’t want to violate the woman and her privacy, but she was so twisted by this sick bastard, I can understand that she just wanted it to go away. Now, he will and he can’t hurt anyone else.
“The sad fact is that King could have been stopped years ago, sparing other victims from King’s sexual desire,” Mendoza said in the report submitted to the court Thursday.
“Coach Andy had enjoyed 61 plus years of freedom at the expense of children and their families. In this case the court should impose a sentence to ensure that the defendant, age 61, will never be allowed to harm children again,” the report said.
He wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else...and it teaches a great lesson
Lisa Nowak, former NASA Astronaut sentanced for attack on her rival: The things that love make us do…
November 11, 2009
Damn, what a difference a professional photograher makes!
The things that we do for love have no boundaries. This morning, on the way to work, I was listening to Angela Yee in the morning on Sirius Radio. She has Saigon, who was being put on blast because of his attempts to get at some video model.
To me, this is no big whoop. We, as men have done a lot of things to get the box. We have driven all hours of the night, flown across country to get the box. I once drove to Iowa from Minnesota to get the panties (and it was worth it and I would do it again…) and I am not ashamed of that. We do what we have to, to get satisfaction.
Meet Lisa Nowak 46, a mother of three. Seems innocent enough, but the Guardian has the story of the tragic triangle love affair that led to this court case.

A former astronaut charged with confronting a romantic rival in an airport parking lot after driving 1,000 miles from Houston to Orlando pleaded guilty today to an attack on a romantic rival.
One thing about the story that I find somewhat hilarious is that Lisa was wearing a diaper, so she wouldn’t have to make any pitstops along the way. Stopping for gas is okay, but a potty break is out of the question.

It's okay now that I am an elected official....right?
Lisa Nowak, a Navy captain, pleaded guilty to felony burglary and misdemeanor battery. She originally had been charged with two felonies — attempted kidnapping and burglary — along with misdemeanor battery.
Nowak confronted her romantic rival, Colleen Shipman, in the parking lot of Orlando international airport in February 2007 after driving from Houston.
Shipman had begun dating Nowak’s love interest, former space shuttle pilot Bill Oefelein.
What this story doesn’t add is some of the backdrop that drove here to act a little crazy.
Nowak and Oefelein had a three-year affair before he left both her and his wife for Shipman. Nowak learned of this when she found copies of emails, many lodged as evidence, including one sent by Shipman when Oefelein was on board the shuttle Discovery.
Now, she found out about the affair and clearly lost her mind.
Wearing a wig and trenchcoat, Nowak followed Shipman to the parking lot and tried to get into her car, then attacked her with pepper spray. Shipman was able to drive away.
Police arrested Nowak a short time later in the parking lot near a trash can where she was seen getting rid of a bag. In Nowak’s bag police found a steel mallet, a knife, a BB pistol, rubber tubing and several large garbage bags.

I guess you have to look good for your court appearance. Shipman is in the background of this shot
“Almost three years later, I’m still reeling from her vicious attack,” Shipman told the judge after Nowak’s plea, holding back tears. “I know in my heart when Lisa Nowak attacked me, she was going to kill me.
“I believe I escaped a horrible death that night,” Shipman said. An appeals court ruled last year that diapers, latex gloves and other items found in Nowak’s car could be used as evidence in a trial that had been scheduled for next month, but her six-hour police interview after her arrest could not. The court said investigators took advantage of the former astronaut, who had not slept for more than 24 hours, coercing her into giving information.
Nowak, 46, is a married mother of three. She flew on the space shuttle in 2006, but was dismissed from the astronaut corps after her arrest and has since been on active duty at a Navy base in Corpus Christi, Texas. Oefelein, 44, also was forced out of Nasa and now lives in Alaska with Shipman.
Well, at least love in one case won out. But, they all lost, since they were all kicked out of NASA when the story broke. I would have to put Lisa in the category of women not to date. But, hopefully, she learned that attempting to keep it real, can go wrong….horribly wrong.
Lawrence Taylor makes another BIG HIT, but this time he ran too….

Lawrence Taylor clearly loves life and all that it has to offer. What we also know is that L.T. loves drugs of all kinds, whether it is the sauce or the rocks, he doesn’t know how to say no. This passion and fire led him to become one of the fiercest pass rushers in NFL History.
But it has also led him into trouble.

Damn L.T. you clearly look faded in the picture. But, it does look like a happy fade, where you are pleasantly buzzed, but still have no business behind the wheel of a car.
Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) — Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker and former New York Giant Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Hialeah, Florida, after crashing into another motor vehicle and leaving the scene, according to police.
Taylor, 50, struck a car on Expressway 826 near the 103rd Street exit, and drove to the next exit before he pulled over, said Lieutenant James Durden, a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol. Taylor was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage.
Taylor told patrol officers that he was the driver of the car, and said he thought he had hit the guardrail rather than another vehicle. The offense is a misdemeanor because there were no injuries to either driver, Durden said.
Taylor, a 10-time Pro Bowl linebacker played all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Giants. He previously was found guilty of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and had been placed on probation after pleading guilty to tax evasion and for buying crack cocaine from an undercover police officer.
Thomas Melani, an attorney who defended Taylor previously, said he no longer has contact with him. Taylor’s telephone number was not listed in the Hialeah area.
To contact the reporter on this story: Curtis Eichelberger in Washington at ceichelberge@bloomberg.net
Someone really needs to help him, before in an instant….he’s gone. The man is a known crackhead. He was awesome, but when the rocks man gets em…he doesn’t let go.
On a different tune, the Police Officers must have been sprung with having L.T. in there. So much so, they didn’t give him a breath test. That is when you know you are big time.

This morning is going to be about basketball, since I am in a bball state of mind this morning. I am moving into week two of the basketball season as a coach, and we have our first game in two weeks. It will be a little different not calling the plays and making the sub pattern, but I am getting use to being number two in charge.
As a coach, we stress the never say quit attitude in our players. Dwight Howard questioned the heart of his team.
Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel: “As if the loss to a reigning lottery team wasn’t bad enough, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard said it appeared his team “quit” during the dreary proceedings. ‘We haven’t had a game like this in a long time. We’d miss shots and guys would hang their heads,’ Howard said. ‘I don’t think we should quit in a game. Seems like, as a team, we shouldn’t quit.’ It’s one thing for the Magic to be routed by the Oklahoma City Thunder 102-74 on Sunday night at Ford Center. It’s another thing for Howard to suggest the Magic (5-2) retired early against a team that is improving, but one that won just 23 games last season. Howard showed no anger. He was singing some song as he sprayed a cloud of cologne. Nobody turned over a table in the middle of the room that offered chicken and mixed vegetables. ‘It doesn’t seem to bother anybody in the locker room,’ Coach Stan Van Gundy said.”
Now, I guess Dwight seemed happy because he was thinking about this…That might make you not want to quit as well. SportsRadioInterveiws provides the highlights.

You have my vote Mary...
And then on a far more comical note, her relationship with Orlando Magic star Dwight Howard:
“Yeah, Dwight and I met at LAX. I was like, you’re a basketball player, and he was like, I’ve seen you at Magic games, so he recognized me from games. I used to always get written up when I went to games for causing distractions and stuff.”
After a brief digression to talk about her nails, Carey continued on about Howard:
“Dwight’s a cool guy. For a month, we like talked on the phone, and he was always trying to give me prayers to get me out of porn and give me Bible verses to read. So then, I was going to go visit him when I was in Orlando, but I went over to this other guy’s house instead, Chris Kirkpatrick from N’Sync.

This is the guy you are sexing up? Really? Then that gives the rest of us a lot of courage to know that this douchebag is soaking up the panties...BTW Nice coat Joesph....where can I get the technicolor dreamcoat look?
And then Dwight started calling, and calling, and calling me, because he knew I was with Chris Kirkpatrick, so eventually at 3 in the morning, Chris was like don’t answer Dwight’s calls. I get a text from Dwight at 3 in the morning – I’m outside Chris’s house. I’m like oh my god, what do I do? I was like, I got Dwight here and I got Chris in the other room and I’m talking to them back and forth. So finally I had to just pull Dwight in the bathroom and tell him he needs to go home. I was like I’m really sorry, I really like you, but this isn’t the time or place.
Two things strike me reading this account. One, why are you outside dude’s house. If you are with him, then you continue to sleep, or have sex or whatever you were doing at three in the morning.
Two, why did you pull Dwight into the bathroom? I am usually thinking that something freaky is going to happen when I am in the bathroom with someone of the opposite sex, especially when she pulls me in there. Just like Shock G said, ” I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom”…

Open wide for the favor train!...I would think that Dwight would have a bigger...."sandwich", I mean he is seven feet tall...Plus, only 6.25? I thought that is normally 100 in the strip clubs...
When I pull him in the bathroom, he pulls his pants down, I was like, whooa. Yeah, and so I ran and started screaming…
You are a porn star. You should not be so shy. According to IMDB, you were in the following classics.
5 Guy Cream Pie 5 (2003) (V)
Kick Ass Chicks 41: Vaginaterians (2007) (V)
Lick My Balls (2005) (V)
Asses in the Air 4 (2002) (V)
So, I am thinking that you have seen a guy’s private parts before. You were in Being Ron Jeremy (2003), so you saw the hedgehog’s goods. Spare me shock and indignation.

What you talkin bout Willis?
Well if it wasn’t for the Chris thing at the time, I really liked Dwight and maybe I would have furthered this. But I was at the guy’s house I was dating so it was inappropriate. So he totally thought he totally offended me. So I saved – he and I used to talk on instant messenger, on AOL – so he was apologizing; sorry, that was out of character for me, blah blah blah. I saved all the instant messages and I’ve been putting them all in a book. So I’ve got a lot of evidence. I’ve got an evidence file.”
Listen here to Carey with Carmichael Dave on KHTK in Sacramento
Damn playa, she got your business all out on the internet…and maybe that is the reason that all apologies should be done in person.
Meet Kordeza Zhelyazkova, who at 11 is married and a Mother in Bulgaria….what is the world coming to?
November 3, 2009
I really don’t have much to say about this one…actually I do and when I have to say, ” What in the hell is this world coming to?” then you know it is bad.
An 11-year-old girl became one of the world’s youngest mothers – and went into labour on the way to her wedding.
Kordeza Zhelyazkova, from Sliven in Bulgaria, was still wearing her wedding dress and tiara as she was rushed to hospital, where she gave birth to 5lb 8oz Violeta.
Proudly displaying her baby, she told reporters: ‘I’m not going to play with toys any more – I have a new toy now.’
My new toy: Korteza Zhelyazkova, 11, shows off her baby Violeta – the 19-year-old father is facing six years in jail for having sex with a minor. This is the thing that is wrong with parenting. Now, I believe that you should have to have a license to have a kid now. You should have to pass a test and go to some parenting classes. A child is not a toy.
Kordeza – who fell pregnant within two weeks of her 11th birthday – spent the night in hospital with Violeta and then headed back to church for her wedding with 19-year-old Jeliazko Dimitrov.
Kordeza told the News of the World: ‘It feels strange to be a mum and have a baby.
‘I used to play with my toys but now she is my new toy.
‘She is so beautiful, I love her. Violeta is the child and I must grow up. I am not going back to school – I am a mother now.’
See….that is the silliest and most naive thing that could have come out of her mouth. What skill set do you have that can earn money for your family? Don’t you know that you don’t have to stay at home and raise a family? You were going to school to better yourself. You have a chance to NOT be dependent on the system for your survival. Don’t become another welfare mom.
The couple met when Jeliazko rescued Kordeza from bullies in the playground.
However he now faces six years in jail for having sex with a minor, telling the paper his fears when he found out Kordeza was pregnant.
He said: ‘I was really scared.
‘We didn’t plan to have sex or a baby although I fell in love with Kordeza the moment I saw her.
Don’t worry Jeliazko, someone is going to fall in love with you at first site too.

You will be the bell of the ball....good luck to the new Ms. Jeliazko Dimitrov
Plus, what were you doing hanging out at the playground? That alone seems pretty creepy, like Herbert.

Herbert the pervert is what to think about when you think about this union...
He added: ‘I was walking past the school when I saw some boys mocking her and I told them to leave her alone.
‘Then she arranged to meet me and asked me out on our first date. I thought she was 15. She didn’t tell me she was 11.’
Kordeza added: ‘I didn’t want to say in case he wouldn’t fancy me.’
Their daughter was conceived within a week of their meeting.
Kordeza said: ‘I didn’t know I was pregnant until my grandmother saw I had put on weight. I just thought I’d eaten too many burgers.’
Her grandmother Dida, 55, said: ‘It’s normal for our girls to have babies young. It’s our tradition. But I didn’t want it for my Kordeza – I felt she was too young.’
The family planned a three-day Roma wedding for October 22 – so Kordeza and Jeliazko could be married before the baby was born.
But Kordeza went into labour a week early, on the second day of the ceremony.
She said: ‘I had been having pain in the morning and a couple of hours into the wedding it got worse.’
She was rushed to hospital and gave birth 20 minutes later.
Kordeza said: ‘It was quite easy but painful too. I was very happy when I saw her. She has a nose like me and hair like Jeliazko.’
Both grandmothers will be guardians of baby Violeta, and Kordeza and her daughter will receive £70 a month in state benefits.
The age of consent in Bulgaria is 14.
The whole story is just shocking to the mind. The fact that the parents are so blaze about it and I am up in arms has me a little worried…
