The U.S. is playing the Confederations Cup final for the first time.  Beating Spain was something that was not expected.  Most Analysts rate the US soccer team somewhere between 12 to 15th in the world.  The best way to see what the word thinks of the US soccer program is to follow the money. Gambling 911 explains…

Having been listed with Confederations Cup Final betting odds of +600 overnight at Bookmaker.com for a payout potential of $600 on every $100 bet, USA odds were now cut to +550 Sunday morning just hours before the big showdown against mighty Brazil.

The U.S. team was still the single most bet on side of any sporting event on Sunday, receiving more action than the two marquee baseball teams, the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.

When it comes to leads, the U.S. has gone to half with a lead and they have only lost once to Itlay, but that was a 1 goal lead.  We here at Too Old are among most of the spectrum when it comes to soccer.  From my respect of the play (but only watch during Country play) to Ronin’s passionate following of the game ( Who called to see it we were actually watching the game…)
