Listening in to a few conversations have led me to believe that women hate on other women who date older men. The reasoning that I see the most is that the older guy is more refined and sophisticated than the younger guy. I totally believe that the ability to get the younger woman is kosher. But, does it work the reverse way? Can an older woman be accepted (and even big upped) in society for dating a younger man?
Society seemingly has been more accepting and tolerant of these arrangements. Two public examples come to mind; Linda Hogan, known only because her husband is Hulk Hogan the legendary wrestler and that she popped out Brooke and Nick. Brooke has a singing career and an off-shoot reality show, and Nick is doing prison time for his reckless driving stunts that almost killed his best friend. Being old means that there are definitely a handful of things that you need to worry about, gravity being one of them. Then you have to worry about what people are talking about, since your family is beginning to disintegrate right in front of the public that adored you and your family during your TV show. You are now getting a divorce from the Hulkster, your daughter is being pimped out and is moving away, since she has her own show and her singing career to worry about and your youngest son is playing hide the salami with Gino, a 250 lb Italian guy from the mob… But that is all good, since you are giving up the nappy dugout to a 19 year old dude that clearly has a MILF complex and maybe a hero worship of Hulk.
Being 48 and having a life crisis means that you should buy a sports car. She must be having the onset of hot flashes or something that is causing her to lose her mind. That is the only thing that I can think of, or that she just wants the Hulks money and she is rubbing his face in it, like 50’s girl is trying to do when she moved the next man into the house that 50 got for his son to be taken care of.
It’s safe to say that Brooke Hogan doesn’t approve of her mom’s relationship. She says that she’s freaking out because the dude is basically younger than her. “I’m totally freaked out,” she told E!’s Michael Yo. Linda is taking cougar to a new level.
“I personally don’t like it at all or condone it, but she’s my mom, so I have to show her support.”
Linda’s new dude who is 29 years her junior was a classmate of hers and her brother, Nick. “I went to school with him. He was a grade under me…Me and Nick know him well. Me and Nick are two years apart, and he was right between us (in school).”
Brooke adds, “I am just staying the course and dealing with it and supporting my family…I’m actually on my way to see Nick now…You know, I thought we were one of the normal Hollywood families. It’s crazy watching it all fall apart, but I hope for the best.”
You know that she let this 19 year old dude beat it up. I will be one to say that I doubt that he will ever be able to fill Hulks shoes, although those steroids do weird things to your body…
The second person is Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of rocker Ozzy Ozbourne. Both examples are very good litmus tests on how have the times have changed
Kelly Osbourne has been snapped strolling through the streets of London with a ring on her engagement finger.
The 23-year-old year-old has made no secret of her love for new boyfriend Luke Worrell and even hinted she wouldn’t rule out getting hitched to the model and BMX rider.
She was spotted after a recent trip to New York – where she saw a lot of her 18-year-old lover – looking very glam in a pink dress and matching shoes.
And to complete the outfit, she was wearing a highly visible piece of jewellery on her left hand.
Luckily for the Radio 1 Sunday surgery host, her new beau went down well with the family recently.
She took him out for lunch and shopping with Sharon Osbourne in Los Angeles earlier this month and at one point the former X Factor judge was seen holding Luke’s hand.
Kelly still appeared tanned after revealing the new bronzed image in New York, which is a stark contrast to her usual pale look.
She clearly wants to look her best for the man, who may be about to become her husband.
This is slightly problematic because who really wants to be the old women at the prom that everyone is hitting up to get booze and/or cigarettes from. The other thing that I will say for her is that she has gone from being not that attractive to growing up into a much better looking woman. She still has that Bruce Willis/Michael Douglass style solid chin, but she has grown up tremendously. Looking at the picture, he clearly seems extremely happy to be there. The media is tiring, but he can move through the city with limited or no recognition, except by the most hard core BMX fans. With Kelly, because she has been on TV for awhile and has a growing DJ career + Dad, she is much more known and should be versed in dealing with the media. But, I guess in the words or R. Kelly and Aalyiah, Age is just a number…
I’m not Nate or anything, but I’m am down with both the younger ladies (over 18 as per Cali law, of course) and the Cougs out there…
Avid supporter here. BTDT. But all it takes is one little comment/look/feeling from some female and the “older woman” loses the confidence to sustain and insecurity takes over. Its all down hill after that. Run don’t walk.
