How far would you go for the taste of vanilla and chocolate frozen into a nice, neat square? Would you give up all that you knew and the family and relationship with one of the more beautiful women of my young adulthood. Even at 50 plus, she is still looking good.

This is what Peter Cook chose to dabble in instead of choosing family and a ten year relationship with kids.

They finally sealed the agreement at 6.15am yesterday with Miss Brinkley, 54, retaining sole custody of their two children and Cook, 49, receiving the cash.

Courthouse sources said that Cook agreed to settle fearing further embarrassment about his sex life.

Two private detectives hired by Miss Brinkley had been due to give evidence yesterday, followed by two of Cook’s ex-girlfriends.

The couple, who were married for ten years, had a prenuptial agreement but fought over a portfolio of properties she had bought for Cook to renovate.

Under the terms of the agreement Miss Brinkley, who has a £15 million estate in the jet set New York resort of the Hamptons, keeps 18 houses and the boats.

The baby-faced former male model had posted naked pictures of himself on the internet and was advertising for sex partners. Really? You still are putting out pictures of yourself on the internet to get action? Dude… I don’t know if you know this, but, you are rich. Hire a pro to service your needs or hire a call girl. Isn’t the DC madam still taking clients? Also, kids are smart these days… What do you do if your son discovers your pictures on your computers?

Four-times-married Miss Brinkley –- the inspiration for second husband Billy Joel’s hit “Uptown Girl” — fought to have the case heard in public claiming her children needed to know why they broke up.

The couple both wanted sole custody of 13-year-old Jack – adopted by Cook when the boy’s father Rick Taubman gave up visitation rights – and 10-year-old Sailor.

But under the terms of the agreement Cook will have them on Wednesday evenings and every other weekend.

A couple of things come to mind with the last part of the story. First, she has been married four times. Either she knows how to pick a loser out of a barrel of losers or there is something wrong with her that makes men run off. I am betting that it’s a little from column A, and a little from column B. At least in this marriage, she was married for ten years. But, you have to wonder how many of those years was Cook getting out and about?

Second, give it up to both of them for seemingly caring a little about the kids, at least from Cooks’ point of view. He was willing to fight for the kids, one that he adopted after his biological didn’t bother, and he wanted visitation. The ploy by Christie to put the dirt out on the street was a little tacky and straight from the playbook of a woman scorned. Her reason that she put it out on the street was that she wanted the kids to know why they were getting a divorce. It that is true, pull them into one of the many homes you have ( the article mentions that 18 were up for grabs) sit them down in the living room and explain that Daddy is having relations with another woman that is not mommy. Instead, you put the dirt out there, so that they can get teased and snickered at by their classmates) I know that if I was in that situation, I would be horrified. (But, also proud, since Dad was smacking up a teen hottie, but ashamed, since she is around my age, give or take 5-6 years…since Jack is 13)

Uptown Girl will be looking for a guy in the downtown world to be number 5…
